Fall

I always have a hard time transitioning from summer to fall.  I really hate letting go of summer and eating outside by the lake every night, barbeques, sitting around the fire pit until late in the evening, heirloom tomatoes, basil, fresh corn, berries, outdoor parties, boating, mojitos – the list goes on!  I really dread fall until I start to see the beautiful turning leaves on the maples, and the fabulous shapes and colors of the pumpkins, squash and gourds at the farm stands and then I start to turn a corner of looking forward to stews, risotto, hearty soups and our indoor fireplace.  This farm stand was inspirational for getting me in the mood for fall this year and I love the way they incorporated antiques, fall flowers and the rustic decorations.  It also makes me grateful I live in a part of the country that has four distinct seasons I can really enjoy for what each of them have to offer.
