Christmas Table Inspirations

The inspiration for this table was my Scottish grandparents and I used a tartan blanket for a pop of color and wanted a more rustic table.  I had a wood worker cut wood chargers and a few stumps for risers down the center of the table.  I put several potted paper whites on the stumps for some height. My family always has Christmas crackers on the table and we love to pop them, put the silly hats on, read the corny jokes and play with the rinky-dink presents that are in there. It’s tradition!

I love the lighted garland because it has a lot of little crystals all over and really sparkles. I flocked some boughs and put them down the table and placed some mercury trees down the center and scattered silver and frosted ornaments all around.

The inspiration for this table was a Gump’s catalog that had these Christmas balls covered with dried moss and wrapped with ribbon and a decoration that were pretty but too expensive.  I decided to make them myself and found everything at the hobby store and hot glued moss to styrofoam balls and glued the ribbons and decorations.  I put the ornaments on my antique posy vases and scattered them down the table.

This table was tweaked a little from a previous year with some pretty Christmas material I put under the lighted garland and then to make the table even more sparkly, I scattered tinsel down the center and scattered ornaments all over.
