Serving Pieces and Decorations

It’s best to get these out several days before and borrow or buy them if you need them.  Put a sticky note on each of the bowls so other people can help you set the dinner up when everything is finished.

1 large serving platter for roast beef

1 large bowl for roasted potatoes

1 large bowl for roasted parsnips

1 large bowl for Brussels sprouts

1 large bowl for the Yorkshire pudding

1 gravy bowl and ladle

small bowl for horseradish sauce

1 large serving fork for beef

3 serving spoons

1 pair of tongs for Yorkshire pudding or fork

ice bucket and  tongs

dinner plates

dessert plates

forks, knives, spoons, dessert forks

coffee cups

wine glasses

water glasses

cocktail glasses

Decorations for Platters

To really pull off an elegant holiday meal, buy extra sage, thyme, and rosemary to decorate the roast beef platter.

You can add fresh thyme or rosemary sprigs to the roasted potato bowl

You can add fresh thyme or rosemary sprigs for the Brussels sprouts

Fresh sprigs of parsley for parsnips

Candles if you are using them
