- Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Makes 24
- 2 sticks butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, or milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup walnuts, pecans, macadamia nuts, pistachio nuts, chopped (optional)
In a mixing bowl, add butter and beat until smooth. Add both sugars and mix until well blended. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth. Add flour, baking soda, and salt and mix until blended. Add chips and nuts (optional) and mix until blended. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350.
On a baking tray, use a 1-inch cookie scoop and scoop dough onto baking tray. Bake for 9-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 2 minutes and then remove to a cooling rack.
Store in plastic container or freeze.
