Roasted Asparagus with Hoisin Glaze


  • Roasted Asparagus with Hoisin Glaze
  • Hoisin is a Chinese sauce made from fermented soybeans, vinegar, sugar and chilies, although it is not a spicy sauce. You can roast or grill the asparagus and hoisin is also delicious with green beans or broccoli.
  • Serves 4
  • 1 pound asparagus, washed, and ends cut
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds


Preheat oven to 425 or heat grill to high. Line a cookie tray with foil.

Brush hoisin over asparagus and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place in oven or place asparagus directly on grill and cook for 4-6 minutes or until asparagus can easily be pierced with the tip of a knife. Remove.
